Ilham Reza Ferdian (Reza) earned his degree in Financial Management from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, and a Master of Science degree in Islamic Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia. He obtained the ‘Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ)’ global qualification from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), London, UK. He has also had the opportunity to attend the Islamic Finance Summer School at Durham University, UK.

As well as being the managing partner at Lariba Consulting and teaching finance and Islamic banking subjects at Universitas Indonesia, Reza is also the Director at Britannia Proofreading Service (britanniaproofreadingservice.com), a professional translation and native British proofreading service provider serving hundreds of clients from Indonesia, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands and the UK.

Before gaining professional and cultural experience in the UK, Reza worked at both Bank Muamalat Indonesia and Bank Syariah Mandiri. While in the UK, he had the opportunity of working as a Senior Investment Analyst at the Indonesia Investment Promotion Center (BKPM) in London and the Islamic Finance Advisory & Assurance Services (IFAAS – an international Islamic finance consultancy), as project coordinator for the Masterplan project for Indonesian Islamic Financial Architecture. One of the recommendations of this plan was the formation of the National Committee for Islamic Finance (KNKS), an initiative which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo in July 2017. While in the UK, Reza was also entrusted with the role of Chairman of the Sharia Economic Community (MES) UK Chapter (2014–2016). During his period of service as MES-UK chairman, he delivered a series of workshops on introducing Islamic finance to Indonesian communities in two countries (UK and Ireland) and in more than 13 cities across the UK.



Miranti Kartika Dewi, PhD

Miranti Kartika Dewi (Miranti) received her degree in Accounting from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, her Master of Business Administration in Finance degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia, and her PhD from Aston Business School, Aston University, Birmingham, UK. She has also obtained the 'Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP)' qualification from INCEIF Malaysia.

Her academic work has been published in several textbooks and international journals, as well as being presented at conferences both at home and abroad (including Bosnia-Herzegovina, India, Jordan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the UAE, and the UK). Within the topic of Islamic finance and business her particular interests are ​​Islamic banks, Islamic accounting, Islamic philanthropy organizations, and waqf.


Ihsan Zulhiandi

Ihsan Zulhiandi (Ihsan) completed his secondary education at Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School, Ponorogo, East Java, in 2006. He then became a member of the teaching staff at Gontor for a year. He completed his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Law, the University of Andalas, Padang and his Master of Comparative Law degree at the International Islamic University Malaysia. He has also been actively involved in campus organizations, and has received numerous awards in both academic (such as best-graduating student of the University of Andalas) and non-academic fields (including being the first winner of the Qur’an Understanding Category at Qur’an Memorization and Understanding Competition (MTQ) Makassar, 2011).

He is currently enrolled on a course addressing Islamic jurisprudence at the Islamic and Arabic College of Indonesia (LIPIA), which is a branch of the Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
